The reprised Crota's End raid in Destiny 2 Season of the Witch will go live on 1 September 2023 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 5 PM UTC.
Do note that the raid will be available for free, and the Contest Mode will be active for the first 48 hours. If your team manages to finish the raid in the given time, you will unlock the Superior Swordplay Triumph.
Completing the Crota's Raid before 12 September 2023 will also allow you to buy the Crota's End Raid Ring from the Bungie store. The deadline for purchasing this is 31 October 2023.
As per Bungie:
Fireteams who wish to compete in the World First race for the Crota's End raid will be able to do so when the raid launches on September 1 at 10 AM PDT (1700 UTC or UTC -7). But they'll also need to follow these rules...
"The first Fireteam to complete the Crota's End raid on Contest Mode, complete the Crota's End Challenge Mode, and earn the Superior Swordplay Triumph will be declared World First by Bungie from @DestinyTheGame on Twitter after verification from the analytics team."
"If a Fireteam cycled through different members during their attempt, the final Fireteam members remaining upon the completion of the final encounter of the Challenge Mode activity (where at least one member of the Fireteam completed the normal version of the raid and then claimed the Superior Swordplay Triumph) will be declared the winners and be awarded raid World First title belts."
"The Fireteam must loot the final chest before returning to Orbit or their finish may not be recorded. A team's official finish will be recorded when they return to Orbit."
Below is the list of gear, items, and weapons that will be disabled during the Crota's End reprised World First race and Contest Mode. Traits and functionality on the following items will be nullified within the raid, with additional negative impacts to Power levels if equipped:
All aboard the hype train:
"Beneath the surface of the Moon, a long-forgotten enemy wakes. Invade the Hellmouth, and stop a dark army from invading Earth."
The following Bungie Rewards are only available to players who complete the requirements within Destiny 2 by the deadlines listed below.
